Nostalgia for the television we watched as kids is here to stay – Life Matters

When thinking about the shows that had an impact on us as children, it’s often the Australian television we remember most.

Local productions such as Round the Twist, Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, Mr Squiggle and Adventure Island offered something the Jetsons or the Flintstones could not.

And it’s the generational impact and the “Australian-ness” of programs like these, that some researchers are hoping to protect.
