Forget the lotus position. Kids’ mindfulness practice can simply be about learning to play – Life Matters

We’ve all seen pictures of kids in a perfect lotus position.

But child psychology experts say that, when it comes to mindfulness, teaching kids a formal meditation practice does not need to be the priority.

Instead, we should focus on giving children (and their parents) the skills to fully immerse themselves in their play and their learning, both in school and at home.
