Too Hard Basket: My later-in-life boyfriend won’t commit – Life Matters

Annie is a divorcee in her late sixties, now with a very nice man.

She feels some resentment towards him as he won’t commit enough to want to marry, yet expects to be with her as much as a husband would.

He provides good help around the house and mows the lawn, but holds back. Annie sees it as a kind of rejection.

The emotional security is not there. What should she do?

Every Friday we challenge our guests with a dilemma from your ‘too hard basket’ – to discuss, unravel, and maybe even help solve for you. Send your dilemma via email on the Life Matters web page or Facebook, ABC Radio National, or send us a voice memo. Keep it to 150 words and you can always use another name.
